Celebrating Black-Led Impact in Coventry

Black-led organisations are at the forefront of supporting Coventry’s most marginalised communities. Their work not only addresses urgent needs but also contributes to long-term social and economic transformation across the city.

To mark Black History Month, we are proud to host a special event showcasing eight outstanding Black-led organisations and businesses whose work spans multiple sectors:

  • Brighter Moments – Food and Welfare
  • Young Beacons – Education and Culture
  • Inini Initiative – Mental Health
  • EAV Centre – Employment and Welfare
  • Action Family Network – Family Action and Health
  • The Highlife Centre – Business, Enterprise and Community Development
  • Yom Chom – Local Food Business
  • Probitas Health Care Service – Social Care Business

These organisations are delivering high-impact, community-rooted work across food justice, enterprise, arts and culture, health, and social care — driving inclusive change and strengthening the social fabric of our city.

We warmly invite policy makers, funders, and local authority colleagues who are committed to equity, innovation, and place-based transformation. Your presence will help strengthen the ecosystem of support around these organisations and open doors to deeper collaboration.

Let’s come together to recognise and amplify leadership, creativity, and resilience — and explore how we can co-create a more inclusive future for Coventry and beyond.
