Arts, Culture & Heritage

Arts, culture and heritage are central to how communities understand themselves, build confidence and create opportunities for the future. In areas facing deep social and economic inequality, these assets act as a powerful catalyst for change; strengthening identity, improving well‑being, and opening pathways into skills, enterprise and participation.

Research shows that progress is often held back when organisations work in isolation. This is why we champion coordinated, collaborative approaches that place creativity and heritage at the heart of community development. When people engage with their cultural heritage, the impact is tangible: stronger social connections, increased inclusion, cultural continuity across generations, and greater community resilience.

By embedding arts, culture, and heritage across our programmes, we celebrate identity and strengthen social justice, economic participation, and collective empowerment.
