4 Marketing tips for your business

When starting up your business it is easy to forget the little things or to mistake things as not being important after all there are so many other things that need your dedicated time and attention. Marketing your business is something people often forget. They are busy thinking about their product, their business plan or finances. They wrongly believe that the right people will come to them to consume their product, but the thing is you need to market your product and bring it to the people. These days with consumerism culture and social media people will not always come to you. You need to come to them. A way to do this is to market your product or USP (unique selling point).

It is not as scary as it sounds. It can be quite simple if you put the right systems/ plans in place. Our business team can support you with this. You can contact them by email to arrange a meeting businesssupport@thehighlife.org. For now here are our 4 top tips for marketing your business

  1. Take advantage of free platforms

Running a business can be so incredibly expensive especially when you are first starting out you might not have the funds to buy fancy marketing campaigns and billboards. You do not need these for success neccessarily. In the modern age there are lots of other ways that you can reach your target audience. Try to post regularly on free platforms like Tik Tok and facebook (especially facebook community groups as more people will see you there and it will help you build you profile. Another free platform you can take advantage of is our business directory at The Highlife Centre. You can advertise your business for free on our website that regularly has lots of visitors. 2. Make a plan

Consistency is key when it comes to marketing your business. Try to plan regular, structured time into your week where you focus on marketing your business. For example, every two days you might decide to make a tik tok or post on facebook. Having a colour scheme for your marketing and your logo can be a solid start.

  3. Use your core customer base

Marketing is all about developing your customer base, but that does not mean you need to forget about your current customers. Try to get reviews from them to incorporate into your social media/ online marketing pressence. A good way to do this is to make sure your business has a google profile (which is free and easy to set up online!) so people can leave Yelp or google reviews on your profile to show potential customers how good your business is. This in turn will market your business in a positive light!

  4. Motivate your customers

In your marketing material try to get your product in there and real people not AI imagery or loads of text. Images can oftentimes speak louder than a big paragraph can. To encourage your customers you can maybe have “exclusives” or deals for people to encourage them to tell their friends.
